Experience (Summary):

Twenty-eight years as English-Spanish and Spanish-English translator and interpreter covering a vast range of subjects, particularly Spanish-English legal documents, medical and dental subjects, telecommunications, advertising, as well as automotive and medical equipment. For example, in the past 5 years alone I have performed over 1,500 actual written translations and have interpreted as well as at particularly complex technical and medical conferences, ranging from the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) Conference in Miami on November, 2003, in which I was chosen as a Contract Translator to work with the Staff and as a Conference Interpreter for FTAA Conflict Resolution Talks (quite frankly, the only one chosen to work both as a translator and as an interpreter), banking (ASBA (twice), and the Dominican Banking Foundation), to training on automotive engine, air compressor and telecommunications technology to pediatrics, dental implantology and neurosurgery, including along the way, of course, regular marketing, insurance and real estate conventions and sales force training seminars. 

 Regarding Legal and Financial Translations, I have paid particularly close attention to finding accurate Spanish-English equivalents for legal and financial after consultation, training and research. 

 Aided of course by my background in medicine, I have interpreted at particularly delicate medical conferences (to rave reviews) on Neonatology, Neurosurgery (University of Miami), Hand Surgery (The Cleveland Clinic), Cardiology (Cedars of Lebanon Hospital), the UN Session on Cervical Cancer Epidemiology for Central America and the Caribbean, as well as the two L.A.O.D.I. Congresses of Dental Osseointegrated Implantology, the Congress of the Pan-American trauma Society, the American Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons Conference, the Mount Sinai Conference on gastroenterology, the Interamerican Symposiums on Vascular Surgery, the World Congress of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, among others.

 Furthermore, I performed Spanish into English Literary Translations: Meditation (39,000-word book), by José Lorenzo-Fuentes; Tao of the Perfect Lover (31,000-word book), by Mabel Iam, both published by Llewellyn Publications; and the English into Spanish Translation of 31,000-word film script of Feliz Christmas – Merry Navidad, continentally acclaimed children’s movie.
